Interview at Bank vs. Prop Shops

Since the nature of work are different, the questions asked are different too.
At bank the main job is: execute orders for clients. So the questions are more generic brainteasers, like the one with a cube 10x10x10, pain the outer layer, question how many small cubes were painted. Some programming. And of course math (stochastic calculus) and probability.

Now at prop shop: main job is predicting price. Statistics is the key. Questions belong to three categories: general prop coin toss dice, statistics (linear model etc), and programming.

In term of qualification, both have PhD Math, Engineer (seem like the supply of PhD nowadays is unlimited). However those at Prop shop seem to be sharper, ambitious (though I could be biased)
